Shoei Neotec 3 review

Bought the matt blue 3 from Infinity, with SRL 3 comms kit, at the NEC bike show.
Im on my 3rd Schuberth the last being the EV4. Schuberth have always fitted me well out of the box.
Tried the latest generation Schuberth and the fit for me has gone.
Tried the Neotech 3 and the fit seemed to be good.
Done a few miles and find it noisier around the temple area. It steams up easily with all the vents open and Pinlock fitted.
So for me, and helmets can be very personal, I'm afraid after over £700 spent I'm disappointed.

Bought TWO Shark Evos for half the price of one Neotec 3.

Much prefer the way the chin bar goes right back for even weight distribution

I have never tried ironing my helmet. How did it go?

I bought the shark Evo gt too. Its a much better design, though not the quality of my Shoei J-Cruise. I will also need to hot spoon the ear area as too tight to fit comms speakers in.

Perhaps it would be worth a visit to an authorised Shoei dealer if you can find one near to you?

If you express your concerns with the new helmet perhaps they can make some adjustments to the fit which could make all the difference to noise and comfort, such as different cheek pads etc ??

FWIW I always liked my Schuberth-made BMW System helmets, then made the mistake of buying a Schuberth C4.
It is the most hateful piece of expensive crap, I sent it back to Germany twice due to noise but they said it was fine.....if it was fine, why did they quickly re-engineer it as the C4 Pro ??

I use the C4 as a daily knock-about lid for commuting the 12 miles each way to work...... I hate it, its cold and very loud even with earplugs in.

I also own a Neotec2 and it is probably the best, most comfortable helmet I've used. I keep it as my best for use when touring.

Agreed.
Made the mistake of buying a Schubert C4 after listening to many on here about how great Schuberth were.
And like you, it was utter utter shite.

Well - I hot spooned and trimmed the ear area, and its still bloody uncomfortable for me. I must have ears like Spock I guess. Will consign it to the short trips only area, unless someone wants a hardly worn xxl Shark Evo GT Flip Front Helmet Encke KAA - Mat Black with SMH10 headset fitted for £150? recoup a bit on the Neotec 3 I have just bought!!
