It’s a real shame this service isn’t available in more shops

Wifey always has difficulty buying helmets as she gets pressure points on the back of her head

We’re in Munich at the moment and by chance one of the few shops providing this service is just 1km from our hotel so we toddled down and got her head measured :cautious:

The shop owner was super professional, really friendly, really knows what he’s doing and speaks excellent English (y)

He took his time, made numerous adjustments, one step at a time, and we came out an hour and a half later with a custom fitted Neotec 3

All in all a great buying experience, if ever you’re in Munich I can thoroughly recommend Spätzünder Motorradbekleidung (y)

We'll be doing this service in the UK as soon as Shoei release the new padding which is used for the customs fits, hopefully within the next few weeks :)

Excellent.
I'll be needing a new crash helmet this year and am a Shoei man so will keep an eye out gor updates on this.
TY both for posting.

MotoCentral and Motolegends are the ones to offer it in the UK. These are the only two that I know off.

I am led to believe that there are only going to be 15 centres in total across the UK.

That sounds like very good service and brilliant idea

In the USA Bell Helmets do a scan your head and make a custom helmet ( the EPA stuff) that contours every lump and bump and must be super comfy and superb fit wise - I assume this is what the F1 lads have as they all seem to have Bell helmets

Shoei and Arai should do the same and helmet shops ( the bigger ones ) should offer this as a service as i for one would happily pay for it

Im getting a fitting tomorrow and hope to remove a couple of hotspots. Neotec 3.

Helmet City will custom fit Shoei helmets and have done so for years. They don't charge for the different pads if the originals are unused i.e. removed before purchase. Talk to Martin at the West Bay shop. He'll look after you. They will also fit comms while you have coffee and cake in Windy Corner café next door, then pair them with your phone. Just don't ask them to do it at peak times.

I had my Neotec 3 done at Moto Central. They were very good but a word of warning if you wear glasses - I couldn't get them to sit right after I'd had it done (of course, in the shop, I had them off most of the time for ease of getting the helmet on and off so many times!). Eventually, I had to remove some of the new padding to solve the problem but I am still very pleased with the outcome.

I too wear glasses, mine are Oakleys with straight arms. The arms slide into the padding channels, although positioning just slightly above their normal position, above my ears. Luckily, the lenses are still in the correct position though.

Almost all Shoei retailers have been doing this for years, including ourselves. All Shoei retailers should be able to change the cheek/top liner out and swap them for different thicknesses and not charge any additional for this service... We still do this now. It's not the same as the PFS fit though.

Shortly to be available at Sportsbike Shop in Milton Keynes

I went to Motolegends today for the PFS on my recently purchased Neotec 3.
I’ve always been a size L in all Shoeis for decades and always thought they fitted well as never had any pressure points or rubbing.
Motolegends have fitted out a nice room especially for PFS with a nice leather ‘dentists’ chair and cabinets for all the various padding etc

Young Joe too my measurements and input them into the computer.
The results suggested I could possibly go 10mm thick on the cheek pads.
They advise that cheek pads will probably give about 10mm once the helmet is worn in and I’ve only worn mine for about an hour.
He stuck the thicker pads in and got a much snugger fit . He then stuck 3 pads together and put it behind the padding right in the top of the helmet .
The result was a very snug but comfortable fit which would result in the helmet being even quieter.
They’ve done about 800 fittings so far and he said less than 5% of people have a perfect fit without any adjustments .
Definitely worth doing as it’s a free service if you’ve bought a helmet from them very recently or indeed buy one at time of fitting .
They also store your details on file so can modify any future purchases to your exact fit.

Quite a few years ago when I was marshalling at BSB meetings I had a Shoei & a HJC fitted properly by the service guys who are at the meetings, made a big improvement, well worth doing.

Hi GS TRV, did you have your Shoei PFS fitting?

Did you get it done at GS Motorcycles in Ballymena?

How did it go and are you happy with the result?

Thanks.
