Wow…they’ve come on a wee bit since my old mono. Trigger operated tripod with swivel rest and interchangeable heads for rifle and optics. Mind you, the price has come on a bit too….

hah try holding my victrix pugio up for a days shootingare you to weak to hold the gun up ?
my brother (77) with a bad back and hips has bought a trio shooting seat. works fine, his shooting has improved using it. i had a go on on sunday when we were amongst the clays and am tempted to get one as my balance isn't so good.I like the new tripod styles, just heavy for long walks in rough ground. For deer hunting we still use the quad sticks, light, easy carry and very stable

brother told me just now that he has also bought a 4 legged one, i will try to post on how it compares to the 3 legs.seen them but not tried them. for where we shoot its hard to stand let along balance the seat

Only shotgun here and just clays nowadays. The 4 legs are better big difference specially when rifle has bipod etc on it adding weight.
The tripod i was thinking of was likes of a BOG deathgrip, but they are big an bulky. However be ideal to setup for shooting rabbits when know be staying in 1 sport for a while
More interested in what you have mounted atop..?I have quad sticks but I now use a Bog Death grip aluminium.. simply superb and I carry it when foxing. If you think it’s too heavy there is also a carbon version but in all honesty it is so light I even take it when rabbating.
