Please correct me if i am wrong but i seem to recall that to buy cartridges from an authorised dealer you had to have a cert but after that they can be sold to anyone as owning cartridges is not an offence

Yes I think you are exactly correct 👍 It’s just me…… I only want to sell to someone who has a certificate 👌

My local shooting ground and also a shop in Tamworth will not sell cartridges unless a license is produced . Not sure if it’s the law, but that’s what they do.

Bargain at that price. They have gone up quite a lot over the last year or two.

What would happen if someone accidentally put these in their shotgun mines and someone broke in?
Asking for a friend…..

You need a licence to purchase shotgun cartridges, but not to own them

Accidentally. Only premeditated IF he intentionally fitted them surely?
The injured party shouldn’t be anywhere near the exit trajectory of the accidentally placed cartridge though.
if the fictitious question asker made it's intentions known beforehand its premeditated

can't say we might have tried that, but as there's no breech the charge explodes and the shot doesn't really do what you may have expected...

on the whole disappointing... but loud... and best to remember any explosion you can see, suggests you may well be too close to.!

Ill take these please if the OP pulls out will collect and pay cash or transfer whatever is preferred
Rob

You wouldn’t believe it officer, there I was giving my shotgun it’s regular clean, I was just checking that the cartridges slipped in and out nicely etc. and then the noise of someone breaking in to my house made me jump, the shotgun fell to the floor and accidentally discharged into said burglar….

PM'd you about one of the 30" slips aswell If you could hold that for me till we know whats happening with the cartridges, Ill pay now for that, just dont want to have to make 2 trips if I get to buy the cartridges as well, ping me your paypal pr bank details and ill send you the money for that
