well it looks cooler and does the same job.

you can fit the original mudguard if you like but i much prefer the look of the mx style myself so left it on

It would look better if it followed the contour of the front wheel.
IMHO

well i am looking to pick up an acerbis mudguard that fits perfectly and that doesnt need to be tilted back.

i think its the sumpermoto mudguard, few lads in advrider have them and they fit perfect.

that or i might put standard mudguard on

I must agree, the SM Acerbis mudguard looks perfect for the USD mod, there are some issues though regarding the radiator airflow I've heard, I am still sporting the 19" front, so low fender of Pegaso is on it's way from the big island (UK) up here

the airflow issue was when people we putting rubber boots on the forks, bmw were saying ti stopped air getting into red. but every other bike with standard forks has fork boots and plenty of people in states have rode in hot climates with fork boots on and high mudguard and have not had any issue.

Out today with my lady enjoying the first ride with her new Dakar:)

What is that tube you have attached to your engine bars? I've been trying to find something that would do that job but haven't found anything that looks like it would take any abuse.

Cheers.

Bike originally had a standard gs suspension which I changed to a Dakar suspension. Have not tried the side tanks yet so looking forward to what should be a serious range.
Now just sorting a new paint job.

Dakar in Ireland

Some pics of mine when I was camping in Ireland last year (and yes, it did rain . . . . . lots)

Excellent bike - had 3 of these over the years but sold this one when I came back. Missing it. An excellent A and B road tourer.

Quietly looking for one should the right opportunity arise:augie
