Did you have help getting it out?![]()
Yes! thank goodness! took 3 of us haha. Actually ended up just balancing it on the left cylinder whilst we filled the mud hole up with wood, which was enough for the back end to dig in and drive out.

Guessing its cheaper to use the same unit in all 5 Lc bikes R Rs RT GS & GSACongratulations!! Are they all black engines now? haven't seen one with a silver frame and black engine.
Congratulations!! Are they all black engines now? haven't seen one with a silver frame and black engine.

My 2016 red GS is the same as above. I don't know about the matt blue one though as at the show the 1 they had there had the silver engine. I've looked on BMW's website but that still shows the red with a silver engine![]()

It'll be another one of those updates that BMW do without telling anyone, but will affect residuals later on.
Once they've used up all the silver engines/ shaft drives, theyll be black moving forward. But ask a dealer when that will be, and they'll act dumb.![]()
Looks awesome.![]()
Just got home from picking it up.
I'm now a very happy boy![]()

Picked her up today & pointed her towards the Dales, rode from Allan Jeffries in Baildon out to Skipton, Grassington, Kettlewell, & up over Coverdale past Whernside to Middleham, Masham then back home to York approx 95m
Bike rides great, loving the GSAP, seems strange not having to close the throttle to do a clutchless shift up! Transmission feels much more precise than my 2013 TE with noticably less shunt at lower speeds. Managed to stay dry too!
