Nearly ready for Morocco in a couple of weeks.:bounce1

I've just grafted a 650 dakar screen on, it has FCR41 flat slide carb, air box opened up, Ackroprovic exhaust, uprated springs, HID lights, comfy seat, massive bar risers etc. etc.

I've gone back to standard gearing but may drop a tooth on the front when we're there.

Can't wait to see how it compares:)

How are the vibes? the only thing that stoped me grabbing one is the rumor mill going on about how terrible they are....... but it's a damn sexy rig.... i'm :drool:drool
have you done a long day on her yet?

Offroad I wouldn't notice the vibes.
I rode offroad from north to south Portugal when RickA owned this bike, we then came back by road through Spain to the Picos and he never found the vibes to be a problem. I've heard some are worse than others, possibly depending on how they're set up.
:nenau

Yes, there is vibration and I noticed it today but the pro's which include it's power, brilliant handling, build quality etc. far outway a bit of wussy vibration which I see as it's only con.:thumb

Considering it's still orange, I really like this bike and so do most people who have one:)

....hmmm perhaps a change of colour:drool

02 reg. Approx 9,000 miles. Bought it for £1500. Fitted new Handlebar clamp, speedo, bodywork and sidestand (approx £250). Forks rebuilt due to failed fork seal.

Rode it for 3 years, only covering 1234 miles. Then sold it for £1500 locally.

It HAD to go. I just couldn't stop wheelieing it, and I would end up nicked. You know what these bikes are like. Up in 2nd gear, keep going until 5th gear.
I loved every minute of it.

The only problem I had was the bearing that the clutch sits in (gearbox input shaft?) failed. This was replaced with a newer style, 3 piece bearing.

Mine on Sunday in the Borders near Newcastleton.
