Here's my 690 Enduro R rally conversion.

I finally finished it at 20:00 tonight, worked on it most nights since November last year (so nearly 5 months on and off) - rides like a good un'. Love it to bits.

Big thanks to John at Rally Raid Products and Jenny Morgan who helped me at various stages of the build to get it right :thumb2

Compass repeater due in a few weeks, that will go in the top right empty slot of the console.

Hey thanks Lost :thumb

The Renazco seat is great, really comfy. Also a lot more grippy with it being suede. Renzaco offer you loads of options on your seat build, great service.

Do 640 Adventures come up very often and what kind of money do they fetch?
I had a quick look around and dont seem to see any for sale

That's a very nice looking bike. :thumb How much to do, dare I ask?
Just an aside, either take off that ram-mount, or swap it so it doesn't stick out below the bar. Doesn't half hurt when it leaves it's imprint in your patella. DAMHIK. :tears

No, £3-4000 depending on age/condition, that's why Steve73 went to Italy for one!

That's because they're brilliant so why would anyone sell a good one;) although some have moved on to the newer 690 which I've heard is better is some ways but then need to spend a fortune turning it into a more practical overland/adventure/whatever bike.

You could buy mine when I come back from the TransAmericaTrail...nope on second thoughts, I doubt it:D

Older one here with 30k miles and looks like they're going up in value.

Some time ago I'd thought seriously about getting rid of the 640 and the GS then buying a 950ADV but it's a no brainer for me, 950/990 is too much of a handful to enjoy more serious offroading, of course others may disagree and enjoy the power when they're on the road.
There's also a very good reason (apart from regulations) why big rallies such as the Dakar are now populated with single cylinder bikes:thumb

I bought one off here before christmas, was on the look out for an xchallenge but the 640ADV seemed to be the bike I was going to spend £££££ turning the xchallenge into :D

....And it's not for sale either, I have bonded with her now, especially since fitting a new exhaust :D :thumb2

What a great bit of kit and the vibes are nowhere near what I was expecting. Just seems to know where to go on the dirt and is teh boss without a doubt. Some bits and bobs to do for the TAT in August and then we are good to go:thumb
