We were over in GB two weeks ago and I was surprised how well his 950 could tour. His biggest concern was fuel range, but he was getting 150 miles and the reserve light still wasn't on. Of course, use the performance and that would drop near 100 miles......:D

Waana ride off road like that, no manic jumps or people too young to shave whizzing past me. Hate sand tracks and have zero ability off road but really really want to do some light off-roading..... Not saying this pic reflects light off roading Melch, but that section of track looks like what i want....

Sadly the picture is not showing what the place is like to be honest. It was shot at the top of the hill where it is not too wet. The rest is a mixture of thick mud and clay. It is a place called Headley Farm in Surrey. I did a Lee Walters training day there a couple of years ago and it wasn't too bad as it was in the summer but in the winter it is a quagmire. The owner of the farm is into his dirtbike stuff and has set up huge supercross type jump ramps and all sorts. When the weather is drier you can plot a circuit out but not really when it is like it currently is.

I guess green laning is possibly an option for you but like you I fancy doing some course type stuff. I was planning on going to the Endeavour Motorsports enduro practice day at Bovington (Dorset) in March. That may suit you although a bloody long way from Spalding. Info here:

Another thing that may interest you is this one that I also plan on trying this year and is more up your way. Don't be scared to click on it, it isn't what it sounds like.

Looks nice that....but aren't you asking for trouble not having fork guards? One dink in the chrome would really spoil your day! I'd want my brake lines tethered to something too. I do like the look of that though. Has the rear been lowered?
