The ADV350 is 59 kilos lighter than the Silver Wing!

My Silver Wing, fantastic bit of kit but starting to feel the weight of it as I get older.
I think I need to get a 350 ADV.

Try one, you’ll like it. I bought mine without a test ride, although I had a go on an older 300 Forza.
Picked my ADV 350 up on Wednesday and have done 102 miles so far. Nothing bad to report on it . In my case I’m putting on mirror extenders so I can see behind better. Also considering a bigger screen and have fitted a longer hugger.
Tomorrow I’m turning it into a ‘ghia’ variant by fitting an under seat liner. Don’t tell Arsey, he’ll get jealous .
Oh, the Oxford heated grips are great.

That’s not how you spell ‘gayer’.

Great idea though-make the underseat storage area smaller :-)

Aaah. But there’s method in my madness. When I go to work on it , my dirty overalls etc go under the seat. So put the liner in for work and remove it when carrying clean gear.

But you’ll get the gay liner dirty :-)
Is it this one ?

Here’s mine, ADV 350, complete with longer hugger, built in cable lock and ( according to Arsey, who’s jealous ) a gay liner.

picked up my 560 T Max yesterday . Rode my GSA to the dealer , swapped it and rode home on the T Max ! I have had 10 T Max's since they came out in 2002 . I must say riding it home the 200 miles was a bit weird having ridden the GSA there . It seemed flimsy after the GSA , but as the miles clocked on it got better and better . Quite tight at first as it was brand new . but light and willing . There is a ton of tech . 7 inch TFT 2 modes and smart key . Electric screen and heated seat and grips . I love it . not sure if I will get a GSA again , I have had them since 2002 .It is a very easy bike to ride and move about and its fast . Lets see .

I was in my local Suzuki dealer recently and they had a great looking mint used C400X in black , very striking in real life and a model that had completely passed me buy . I was tempted as I miss my GTS300 but it had been sold almost immediately. I’ve not seen any inmates with one ? :nenau:

Well, the ADV is ready for its first proper trip. I’ve fitted the mirror extenders, loaded the scoot and I’m ready for a 2 day Scotland trip. A round trip of about 600 miles.

Pity that the weather is becoming less spring like, and more wintery. How far up are you planning on going, not too far beyond the Central Belt I'd guess?

Up to Penrith then up the old A74 to a Blackwood. Then across to Paisley then on the ferry at gourock, and on to Kilmun. Approx 300 miles.

Wanlockhead is a nice little diversion off the A74, not only to tick I've been to the highest village in the UK box as the roads in and out are nice.

Been there. I’m trying to find routes I don’t normally use.
