SHOWERS and ALL.

Day Ticket

Sorry to ask stupid questions, but I've never been to this event although I've read about previous ones.

Is it open to all? Can I come for just the Saturday night (or maybe even just for a day and not camp at all)?

Can those of us too wimpy to go on an off-road ride out stay and have a goal-kicking competition at the rugby club? Anyone fancy a challenge competition?

Robin.

Working Friday till 23:00 and Just booked Saturday and Sunday off work so will be setting off early. Tell me as I,ve not been to one before, do I need to buy a ticket in advance and is there plenty of camping on site and does that have to be booked? Sorry if all these questions are answered else and I'm too stupid to see them.
Really looking forward to the ford's and off road rides.
Jim

Steve, May I suggest the Oblertone & Rev Chuck cabaret act for the Saturday night entertainment. They certainly kept us amused all the way to Gambia and back :D

Dennis, please will need stickers again, will call in a week or so

I'll take the off road begineers/novices and fun ride out - to the usual destination, most of you know where :thumb

No mentioning of location please. There is a reason ;)

Message to Liv, Norway...

as you requested, here are a few hotels for the Hog Roast...will add more as I find them...saying that there don't appear to be many with in staggering distance.

Am sure if any of the other GSer's in Andover know of any more they will let you know.

I don't know what these places are like so I could not say which is the best, though having had a look at them No 5, Frenches Farm Lodge, looks quite nice, although its just over 3 miles from the Rugby Club.

In that case...

I think Matron might have something to say about Henchards. But I don't think it'd be a recommendation somehow...
maybe we should forget that one......

Thank you, Mick! :)

I figured out there are a lot of places to rent a bed, but not, as you wrote, with in staggering distance...

So I ask all the natives in Andover:
-I saw something about a B&B in Charlton; Acer in Foxcotte Close, but I don't know if it is any good (no info at the 'net) or if it's still in the B&B-buisness
- do you know?
Or do you know a B&B in Charlton?

Me and Knut are plannig to stay in Andover from Friday to Thuesday, and then ride up to Wales; there are som museums we like to visit south and east of Andover while we are there.

:) Liv - soon staggering in Andover. ;)

Charlton is the nearest village, a small walk.

B and B is going to be B and B all you need realy.

Sorry can`t check it out for you.

New PREMIER TRAVEL LODGE just opened or soon, if you wish :D

We stayed at the Amberley last year. It was within walking distance of Weyhill which looks about the same distance as the rugby club. It'll be quite a long walk though and along pitch black country lanes by the looks of it :(
