Side pannier rack design for GS1150

Of course depending what way your planning on attaching the Panniers
these wee profiled racks are the Basis of a Dam good proven rack.
You can weld your own arms to the these and then use suitable fasteners to attach to the subframe ,mounting points of the Bike .

I dont remeber , but i think £20 + post for the pair

The end result is something like these , for an rd07 Africa twin

Maybe not the best photo , the big chunk is to allow the key to take off the seat.
But you get the general jist , once you have decided on the Height you want to sit the panniers at , its simple.
Whether you buy these or not ,, REMEMBER you passenger must be able to sit on the Seat.
Not the Pannier lids , A common mistake even amongst "Some" pannier makers.

I just had a thought , Would you have any interest in a pre-cut and folded pair of Asymetrical panniers. No cut out. Just flat,
not welded with no fasteners Kit , as it were to make you own ,to incl the Basis of the racks.
You would have to do all the welding , positioning , mounting ,
A self build pannier kit , as it were ?

Thanks guys!

Buellzebub: yes, not the Australian one! Thank you, I will take you up on your offer if I don't get some I'm looking at on Sunday or do some sort of deal with the Civil One. In principal I am keen on making my own racks & panniers as some of the ones for sale are so expensive.

The Civil One: these look great. What I am looking for is either a set of instructions/dimensions so I can get some made up here in Blighty, or buy a flatpack set as you are offering. What sort of money are you asking for the frames as shown

Best

I reckon £20 + post for the Frames.
There are no instructions , this would be down to you .
I will have a look see on monday and see what the Flat pack set is costing.

Charlie.
For a Flat pack kit . £350.00GBP..
I reckon i would have to fold the Lids , and all other folding.
This is basically an Unwelded set of Panniers .In Kit form..
It would not incl any latches or handles or fasteners. But would incl the
rubber lip that is required to make them water proof.
