just thought id post this ive read about wobbly sidestands,mine was the same.going to work the other day the bike nearly fell on me,luckily mrs was there to help,on closer inspection stand looked bent,gave it a wiggle and it came off in me hand guv.the weld that holds the mounting piece to the tubular leg had failed.got it welded at work with stainless rod(wont rust) resprayed looked better than new.fitted a new bolt, old one showed signs of wear now less wobbly than before but scratched paint fitting springs(DOH!!)
i think my mounting technique(OO ER) might have loaded the stand to much causing the weld to give up but i have short legs and feel happier climbing aboard with the stand down.
