Sidestand FatFeet

There will be even fatter ones in stock from next week. The new versions have been made with longer screw threads, and you will be able to purchase additional spacers to increase the height as you require it.

However, you must be careful not to have it too high as you don't want to over balance your bike.

The idea of the fat foot is really to stop your side stand sinking rather than to make the bike stand more upright.

Nice one, I'll keep an eye on the site :thumb

Already got a fat foot from That oTher manufacturer :o

An ice hokey puck is the required thickness from experience (& width to stop sinking) :augie, just enough, but not too much - but can look a bit heath robinson.

If you've ever tried getting a fully pannier loaded GSA off it's side stand, you'll know where I'm coming from :D

I meant Stainless Steel PEM Studs, not screws, as PEM studs are permanently affixed unlike screws. I've just been slapped around by the technical department.

Here's an image of the test piece - currently offering approximately 13mm of extra lift with an option to go to 17mm :thumb

I'll be trying it out on my R1150GS first before we make one for the GSA.

I have been using an ice hockey puck for about a year on my R1200GS and found it to be an excellent height (an extra lift of 25mm) for use in the UK. Had there been a sidestand adaptor, that gave that sort of extra lift, available at that time then I would probably have purchased that instead of using an ice hockey puck (which I had lying around anyway), as long as it wasn't too expensive.

Annette,

Could you let me know when the Fatter Foot with the option of 13-17mm spacers is available. This is one piece of kit I definately need....:thumb

BEFORE MID SEPT PRETTY PLEASE.:thumb

We've made one up and I've got one on my R1150GS. It is fabulous and the difference in the lean is amazing.

However, they are on the heavy side and the side stand springs can't take the weight very well, so we've gone back to the drawing board to make it lighter but still as strong and tall.

Shouldn't be too much longer, and I'll post as soon as they are ready.

I'll post some pictures in the next day or so, when I can get at my bike.

Having listened to our customers and visitors to our website, it seems that the cost of postage is more important than receiving guaranteed next day delivery.

We've taken this on board and postage charges are now entirely dependant upon the weight of your order. Please see our delivery charges to see what we will be charging.

As you add items to your shopping basket, the applicable postage charge will apply. Therefore, the more items you order, the more the postage charge will be, up to a certain amount. Maximum postage will be £6.95 in the UK. Orders weighing under 1kg will be posted using 1st class Royal Mail Recorded Delivery Service.

We endeavour to despatch all orders on the same working day they are placed (we do not ship on Saturdays and Sundays). You will receive an email notification as soon as your order is despatched.

However, for those of you who live abroad, only the UK postage charge will show until you reach the checkout stage and put in your delivery country. The applicable postage charge will then be displayed prior to you completing your purchase. But, if you want to keep a track of the postage costs as you go along, the weight of each item is displayed in the item description for your information.

As always, we listen to what our customers want and endeavour to make it happen:D:D:D

Regards
Annette

come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D;)

we are currently working on making these lighter as we have found the more spacers used creates an issue with the side stand springs, but should have this sorted with the week:thumb2:thumb2
