Sidestand Switch Broken & Missfiring

The shop moved the switch. They tried to disconnect the switch, but the bike would cut out when the side stand went up.

+1 on broken Switch
I am awaiting the parts now and have wired and zip tied the old switch like the last post

My bike was cutting out intermittently spent a day at a dealer while on vacation who could find nothing wrong with the bike no codes and could not reproduce the problem
It wasn't until the switch died and the bike wouldn't start that the interment miss went away

My bike has just had its first annual service. Two weeks before that I had the side stand switch replaced as the bike would not start.
I got the bike back and it had a ridiculous mis-fire so I went straight back.
They spent all day Saturday on it and could find nothing. No fault codes. They replaced the lambda sensors and still the mis-fire. They gave me a loan bike which was well appreciated and they said they will call tomorrow. Unfortunately they have never sold an HP2 and mine is the only one they get in.

Any suggestions???

because if the fault is not rectified, some bugger might stack and kill himself. You may find that the dealer will not disconnect it because he would not be allowed. Its more to do with the side stand plate apparently.

The side stand plate will bend if you climb on and off the bike with the stand down, something common with the vertically challenged I'm told. Sidestand switches on anything you taske off-road are just a plain nusiance, by-pass it and you're good to go.
