Wiring diagram from Clymer indicates a diode before the plug connecting the sidestand switch. Anyone know where this is located? (I know there is one in the starter relay but feel sure this is not the one being referred to). Still trying to locate a neutral light out problem - it is not the gear switch or globe and have checked virtually every connection throughout bike!@#$%^&*()_?? I do not really need it but it bugs me that I cannot fix it

From the look of it the wire that goes from the side stand to the diode is Brown/Yellow and out of the diode to the starter relay is Brown/Violet.

Dunno if that is any help?

The only diode that I know of is inside the fuse box, taped to the wiring The Diode is encapsulated in a small white plastic container which has standard Lucas blade connections at either end to allow it to be replaced easily. You would have to drop the bottom of the fuse box housing to get acces to it, which is not to big a job.
