Sidi Adventure Boots

In my opinion they have retained the bottom protection and shin protection of a MX boot - yet added the flexibility and comfort of a road-riding boot to the ankle and upper half

These look a good bit of kit, and I was interested in your comment....

....I like the look of a moto-cross bike on the GSA, but find that them being so ridgid becomes a problem when you stop on such a high bike as the GSA, as regards to tipping your feet down, 'tippy-toe like'...if that makes sense.

Are you saying that there is free movement for bending the foot downwards in these boots?

Thanks for any info :thumb2

Mine arrived today. Been wearing them around the house and will be out on the bike tomorrow. Whilst I wouldn't wear them off road in preference to my Motorcross boots they are a good compromise and I think they will be my everyday and touring boot for everything except focused off road.

They seem pretty comfortable from the off and have more protection than my Daytona's and SM2's plus quite allot of flexibility in the ankle. Proper sole as well.

If anyone wants a pair of these Len Manchester Motorcycles in Melton Mowbray will do them for £270 if you say I (John Kitching) sent you. They're on 01664 562302, ask for Geoff

Havent put huge mileage on mine but its but they've been subjected to cold (freezing) and drenching via riding through flood water, Feet were warm and dry. Boots are unoticable once on which is a good thing, ie forget they are there. Stomped around shopping for treats and plonk in them no issues . probably the most comfortable m/bike boot I've had. sweet worth every penny.
Slight squeak from ankle brace but its cool as it winds cat up...

Can honestly say that they flex and allow full movement. I might have mentioned the fact that I had to wear mine at Gatwick and Dubai - after they said I was overweight. Dreaded it .... but was seriously surprised at the comfort level and have even now found myself going to work and wearing the boots the whole day without any problems - my normal trousers fit over them - so they really look like very "upmarket" boots.... so glad they left all the bling off them.

I can actually sit on my haunches as well - something an MX boot will not allow!

Best bet is to go and try a pair on mate..... :augie

Thanks for that :thumb2.....I may well be trying on a pair soon once I find a local dealer :augie

slight niggle...gear changing.

Everything that's been said above is true....an excellent boot. The only niggle I have is that I've had to adjust the gear lever on my 1200GS to allow for easier gear changes up the box. I can now get the toe area of the boot under the gear lever but it now means I have to take the boot totally off the foot peg to get the boot onto the gear lever to enable me to change down a gear(s).
The size of the boot is a 43 (9)...so it's not an over large boot.

+1 on everything that's been said about the quality of these boots and +1 for Martin at Helmet City. I gave him a ring, mentioned this site and he did them for £255 delivered. They were ordered at 4pm and arrived the following day. Fantastic service.

:D Gordo - you think YOU have problems with your size 9's..... mine's 12's mate.. set my lever up by 2 notches..... but not rally a probelm with normal shoes/boots as we should be wearing the protective gear ALL the time!

Glad you chaps are finding them good quality.......... I love mine :comfort

I've size 11 plates, to deal with the gear lever I got the TT version which also adjusts for length.

Squeak squeak squeak. They squeak.

Bit of a squeak, but still love them to death and will be buying another pair for a mate when ober in the UK! :thumb2

After some long travelling on dust roads, I did pick up a couple of squeaks, however this was quickly sorted. It's actually the dust around the "hinge" area - it gets in between the two plastic components.
A quick blow with an airhose sorted this as a temp measure. When home I cleaned and washed the boots, then applied a small amount of unscented leather cream... perfect & no more noise!

Boot still my favourite......... still highly recommended! :thumb

They squeak quite badly really.

Nice and comfy and they appear to be well made.

Pleased to say I can't comment on hwo waterproof they are and they're crash protection.

I used mine for two weeks riding around Norway on road and off road and can't fault them (apart from the squeak)
