Sidi Adventure Boots

adventure boots

i got mine from helmet city in tatsfield near biggin hill , small store loads of stock mail order centre.
put them on in the shop , worn them ever since feel great and realy are waterproof , best boots i have ever had
mine squeaked a bit till a touch of graphite grease on the joints sorted that
:beerjug:

To sort squeak spray between platstic plates and fabric with WD40. You will also smell like a real biker as well as dealing with the mousey mousey noise.

Bought mine @ 5.55 just as the shop wa thinking about closing!!

Been for a quick spin, I'm gonna persivere with the gear change position as they are not a million miles out and should run in, time will tell.

Best regards Stretch :)

Got mine a few weeks ago, super comfy right from the off. Feel very protective (haven't had this tested for real!), gear change felt a bit different compared to my last boots which were more flexible but I've slightly changed the lever angle and quickly got used to it. Can walk around in them all day even fully done up. They do squeak a bit but not enough to bother me. I love them! :thumb2

£260 from Helmet City after a phone call, prompt delivery, can't fault them.

These definitely look like the boots for me! :thumb2

One question though... With the soft(ish) sole, how are they comfort wise when standing on the pegs for extended periods of time??

Depends on the pegs. I use Pivot Pegs which have a wide footprint, and no probs with comfort in xfires.

I can confirm what's already a popular opinion: Adventures are great boots. While I'm waiting for my bike to arrive, I have been using them to walk about as much as possible. I also rented a bike for a week and they were very comfortable.

Gazzabart you bugger :D

Listen - I bought my pair in February this year. Have been doing quite a bit of dirt and have had 3 "incidents" - one where really soft deep sand had me paddling - caught my foot in the sand and bike fell with pannier pinning my foot to the ground. All the pressure and weight on my right foot.
These boots saved me 100%!

No problems doing dirt, water crossings etc.

Squeak was there after dust got into the hinges..... but so what.... for the comfort it was worth it and by the way - the more sand/dirt you get on the boot, eventually it acts as an abrasive and voila - squeak gone! :thumb

I will swear by these boots!

After 4 weeks the sole of my left boot is properly "chewed" by the GSA's footpeg...

Boots worth that much money should be designed better surely!!!

I've worn a pair of Lowa Elite Desert for over a year most days and the lhs sole is barely marked... and they're not even bike boots!!!

But apart from that minor setback which will be promptly solved by a pair of rubber footpeg covers (anyone knows where to get some??? :augie ), I must say that they are awesome boots, really snug fit, and very warm even last week with some minus temperatures, snow, ice and wind.

The guy said they were the last pair in the shop [but you never know] got to be worth an ask:cool:

It was.:beerjug:Rang them today, said they've stopped doing them in preference to the TCX Infinity which is more suited to the bikes they sell.

They've got a pair, size 43, in stock only but he was more than happy to order me a pair and post them out for to me £225 including post:bounce1 Says I'll have them within 48 hours!

Nice one Bowie, cheapest I've found.:kissy2

That's a good deal, might well indulge, bloke could sell a few on here at that price, perhaps he needs to become a "presence" here?

I love my Adventure Boots!

I've had a pair of these since about May this year, they are probably the best bit of kit I have and I swear by them!
They were comfortable straight out of the box and with time, they have gotten better!
I've never had any issues with the level of waterproofing and ride all year through all the rain/snow/sleet etc.
I can also (unfortunately) vouch for their protection qualities following an off in July!
These boots are also great off the bike, you can park up and wear as you would with regular footwear.

What price you can get them for, in my opinion, it'll be a steal!

Cheers:thumb2

I got a pair had them 8 months now and I think they're the dogs bollox my feet never get wet (I ride all year round in all weather hence the boots) my feet stay warm and dry....the only annoying thing is they creek a bit....ps....I do look after them though drying properly and given a good application of boot polish and a little dubbin......Excellent 10/10 :thumb2

Bloody awful :D

My feet were in agony on a recent trip to Morocco (extended periods off tarmac).
I had to keep alternating between standing on my heels, toes and sole.

Great comfy boot when you're sat down though :thumb
