Sight glass circlip.

I am about change the engine oil sight glass on my 1150gs, the fitment appears easy and straightforward. But a circlip is supplied along with the sight glass from Motorworks.
Where does it go?

Ok Bryn, I've look at all the associated links for the sight glass, and no circlip.
I've had the sight glass amongst other items from Motorworks for a couple of months and just getting round to fitting them, that's when I found the circlip in the same sealed bag as the glass.

Doesnt the 1200 have a circlip? Check if you have the right part?

The 1200 requires a circlip, the 1100/1150 doesn't.

The sight glasses are the same for all models so they're supplied with a circlip.

If you've a 1100/1150 throw the circlip in the bin.
Or if your feeling adventurious, have your scrotum pierced, insert circlip and have a bet down the pub to see if anyone can guess what it's intended use was.

In my limited experience, displaying a pierced scrotum in a public house is pretty much guaranteed to get you chucked out even if you argue that it was just for a bet...... So maybe not worth the trouble and risk of infection

Do you suggest self piercing or may call on a friend for assistance?
