I've recently replaced the electric motor of my ABS modulator as it failed for the second time (over quite a few years).
Bled both circuits, reinstalled, new oil added, bled again. Surprisingly it works well. ABS kicks in when needed, etc.
The only problem I have is that, despite braking correctly and with the usual bite, I feel a distinctive single pulse (like a click or a pop – initially I thought the modulator was engaging, but it is not) most times I press the front brake lever. It happens mostly at low speed and it goes away after a while. Resumes when you pick the bike again after parking it.
When I was putting the oil back in the front circuit, I bled both from the calipers and from the lever. Can it be a little bit of air trapped at the lever?
Never experienced something like this before.
Again, bike brakes ok, but I want to solve this.
