Any reason you not interested in the Touratech version, I found their single seat very comfy on trips. Got no idea what the HPN version goes for and had the Touratech seat for a couple of years now.

I'd be interested in one or the other if the price is right.
Going by the price of other TT stuff I strongly suspect it isn't though. :(

THe TT seat is currently priced at £391 and the HPN single €305 in vinyl, €349 in leather.

I believe I'll continue to manage with my standard one then.

Looking at Mavericks picture above it doesn't look like it fits much better anyway. It's only the fact the catch at the back is nowhere near the lock that bothers me.

Be not bothered, they thought of that and it comes with a handy catch extension built in. :augie

Richie Moore makes his own version, it might be worth giving him a call: 07789191355

I can assure you I never paid that much for mine in 2002  :blast

They do come with the little carrier and lock adaptor which you fit on the back. It does not fit snugly against the HPN tank though but works fine with the standard tanks on the GS80/100. Had to stick in some spacers to get the lock to work properly althouh made a different bracket out of 5mm steel and use two eyebolts to fasten the seat on the sides. It also provides a handy place to clip bungies through. The photo above I had my tankbag on the rear with my camera in - not to be advise the camera did not like that by day 6 :eek

I had the touratech seat on my 1100 as well and can honestly say they are very VERY comfortable for me. Have done hours of riding with no numb bum. There is of course people who don't get on with it at all again.

I like Richie Moore's version as well, looks very good :beerjug:

Cant really see the point of a single seat. As has been said before you hav'nt got as much room to move around and with two panniers you can always strap anything across the whole lot. also if you are in company you can always carry a passenger if need be. I know they look "butch and The Biz" but I really cant see any other advantages. The standard bike does also have a small rack anyway.
Of course if the seat you have is yellow and black, I would argue the opposite and suggest you sell it to me ..........................cheaply of course.:augie

Hello

By the way. If any one has the single seat base I’m interested.

I want to reshape one but I need the plastic base. Could be from a R80 gs or a R100 gs

thanks

How much space do you need to move around :eek Is it all the pies down in Cornwall's fault :D

I don't take a pillion or need to on my airhead for the time being and purely used for touring. I have a small enough crack to stay clear of the rack and find a rollbag is quite nice to lean back on when you riding the open road a bit. The balancing act on a full seat with luggage is just too much hassle for me personally. Each to their own of course :thumb2

The big ortlieb strapped to the back with still ample space for my arse :thumb2 The weight is also a bit more forward so not all that excess on the rear of the subframe.

Pies - Pasty they all give me heartburn but eat them anyway :D

Mmmm Biltong pie....now there is an idea

I agree £300 is a bit much for a single seat, I would not pay more than £220 for it.....ahh that is what I paid for it back then :beerjug: Maybe stick something in the wanted section always something lurking in a garage somewhere :mmmm
