Single Seat, Rack, what else?

Good morning

My R80GS is about to return from the bike shop (only been there a month) so when I get it back plan to change the existing dual seat with a single seat and rack that I acquired...

May seem a strange question but does this change require any "extra" bolts to secure the rack to the sub-frame? If so I would be most grateful if someone could inform me of the size(s) so I can order them in.

Probably - you may, (will) have to take the lock off the sub frame and re position it on the frame so that the single seat locks onto the sub frame.

Depends which single seat and rack that you have - is it the one that is usually fitted to the R100GS PD

It's a single seat (repo) that's used on the PD, the single rack is OE... sorry I should have made that a little clearer on my first post

I'm aware that the handle and seat lock will require re-positioning to the single rack but I'm not sure if extra bolts are required to secure this single rack to the sub-frame.

I'm not sure - but I do not think so as when I fitted, (and removed), mine I cannot remember having a problem, (i.e. I did not have to look for anything)
