Single seat racks

I have an R80 Mono fitted with a single seat. I'm wondering if there was ever a rack that fitted in the space where the rear seat would have been?

I know there was this option for the g/s and GS paralever. Wondered if it's the same for the road bikes too.

Many years ago, I was the workshop manager at BMW GB Ltd, we used to look after the Police demo bikes. The bikes were modified by a company in Andover. From memory the rear 'radio' rack and the panniers were supplied by them. UK Police wanted panniers that opened from the top, hence the white , slim, fibreglass bins they came with.
Would the rack from the g/s or paralever fit the road bike?

Didin't know the Police bikes where put together/modified/customised in Andover. Pretty sure though, the panniers where Carven's (still avaiable today). Guess I'll be making or modifying something to suit then.

It's not the panniers I need. Already have a nice ally set. Just looking at racks.

Ta. Found it on Flatracer and Motorworks, both around the £84.00 price bracket. Bit steep for a rather rusty old rig, so I think I might have a go at making my own.
