My comments here actually concern my DR-Z (my everyday commuting bike) but probably apply to all bikes.

When the OE front pads wore out, I replaced them with a set of EBC sintered pads. Frankly, I was not massively impressed, but decided to live with them. They have now worn out and, 2 or 3 weeks ago, I replaced them with new EBC pads. Owing to a purchasing error, I ended up with two sets of EBC pads, one set sintered and the other 'organic'.

I fitted the organic set to replace the worn sintered items.

Numerous 30 mile round trip London commutes and the pads are properly bedded in. I was coming to realise that actually they weren't as good as the sintered (and that the sintered pads must have taken a long while to bed in when they were new).

But today it rained for the first time since I fitted organic brakes. I use the term 'brakes' in a very loose sense. These organic pads are absolute shite in the wet! Sintered pads will be going back in as soon as I can fit them!

Anyone had similar experience?

Greg

Yup - put them in me Firestorm a few years back, and took them out again just as quickly. Totally NFG. In fact, there may be a case under the SoG act - Not Fit For Purpose Supplied.

Use ebc hh in road bikes and they are good but can be haevy on the discs, but for a drz try dunlop sintered motocross pads , have them in an xr 250 and they are excellent in wet and mud. also they are lasting well without destroying the discs

that organic stuff is overpriced shite for tree hugging trendys

you want the GM pads you do :D

Carbone Lorraine..most of my friends who race use them loads of stopping power and feel they say..i don't know i that works the same for a dr-z :)
