She has just picked up a Megane Tin Top . and is looking for some extra after care warranty to cover all the motors and the lecys . Anyone out there reccomend a company ??? She is getting quotes of over £300 for year . Thanks guys .

RAC are better than most. They pay for all the extras like changing the oil when you've finished an engine job etc. Most wtty companies are shite.

I've just bought a newish (second hand) car from a very large dealership. They offered me this kind of cover for £245.00. After scanning the small print of whats covered and how to claim, it would seem that it's not really worth having, so I told them I wouldn't be taking that option. The cover was actually provided by a independent insurance company and it didn't really cover your standard sort of breakdown repair. More the engine, gearbox, etc eating itself, then they'd pay out providing you could prove that it wasn't any fault of your's and you'd stuck to the recommended manufacturer,s service schedules to the letter.
I decided I'd rather take my chances and save the money. Can't recall the last time I heard of a relatively new car mechanically devouring itself.
The money I'm saving will be put to good use :beerjug:

She is more worried that the roof motor and other electric bits blowing up . Motors for glass roof cant be cheap ???

I'd be very surprised if you managed to get a policy to include the electrics of the car and if you did it would cost a fortune. What kind of history have Renault's got for this type of failure..? If it's a common problem with them, I'd look at buying something with a better reliability record. Get her to take a look at a Mercedes A-Class or B-Class. You can pick them up for similar money to a Meganne, they just have a much better build quality and reliability record. Also, once they've lost their initial depreciation, they tend to level out and hold their value.

Warant Direct covered the Merc for me for £400-00, got an original quote from them for £480-00 on line did not take it up so they called me. I said it was too much and they said they would reduce it to £400-00 if I took it now.
Merc quoted me £100-00/month or £1100-00 for the year
