size difference between GS and GSA batteries?

hi,

battery died this morning, had a look around and no stealers near me, but polo and louis, before I make a long drive etc is there any size difference between a GS and a GSA battery? One of them has a GSA battery is stock but not a GS..... I thought they were all the same size and capacity....!

The physical size of my 09 gsa battery is about 30mm shorter than the 07 gs. There were 2 plastic trays to raise it up to the height where the larger battery would be. They are rated the same according to the info on the side.

Others will probably tell you to get one of the after market agm batteries at a significant saving over the bmw one.

Ta for all the replies and above is exactly what i plan to do, just severly limited in choice locally so it will have to be an internet order to someones house in germany.. the joys if living in switzerland!
