The mail account stopped dead yesterday. No explanation or warning from Sky. When I logged in to Sky I got a contact no. And after the usual interminable wait I was told the account had been stopped because the system detected a possible Trojan, not on it's way in apparently, but trying to communicate out.
Their only advice was to change the password and carry on.
When I ran Bitdefender it identified several rogue files, one of which it couldn't quarantine, but it did allow me to identify it through finder ( Mac user) and delete it manually.
So. Some questions:
If they can identify the little fecker trying to phone home why can't they pick it up coming in?
If I haven't opened any of the files that come from those nice Russian girls or suspect invoices, which I haven't how did I get infected?
If Bitdefender says I've got the all clear can I carry on happily or do I need to do something else?
Never had a problem until now. In fact never got phishing emails until Sky got into bed with Yahoo.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts
