Thanks times 11 to the tossers and the associated tossers who turn up on Saturday and on Sunday. The weather keep us refreshed and washed away some of the cow dung as well as turning the dust to mud.
My respects to the lads from Carrickmacross for turning up for the day on Saturday, to Joe the Celt for his Sunday day trip, to GerryC for coming on Sunday on the Serow from Tralee and then home again - my ass aches in sympathy and I only did about 80km on my Serow.
My respect to the intrepid ascenders of the Slieve Felim trackway - Joe, Marcus, RD2, Padge and Daithi, who has the video.

An especial mention has to be made to Hans - one of the two German visitors, who boldly rode as much as some of us. It was a virtuoso performance on an R1200(G)ST over boreens, forestry roads and trackways. I'm sure that that are many GS and Adventure owners who would not have gone where he has been.

I hope that you have all arrived home safely.
It was a personal pleasure to met you all.
Now that you know what's on offer around Limerick, don't be strangers and we'll see if we can do it again.

Again, my thanks to you all, your misplaced confidence in me, "inspired" me when I was lost and taking us over "roads" unknown, to parts unseen and to times past - the shop in Kilcommon will be a lasting memory and a featured stop for other runs.

Marcus great foto's Loved the one's of Daithi doing his balancing act on the log, that man will do the Dakar one day, Lads got up this morning and went to work pissin meslf laughing if the Gardai had of stopped me they would have thought i was on drugs
Daithi your head must have been buzzin to be still up at 4am posting fotos and again same as Marcus and Gerry you captured the day well done to everybody it was a day i wont forget

Funny you should say that

as I been talking with another of the group about just that.
No definite plans as yet, as we'll have to do some exploring on the little bikes and we'll have to harden our posteriors or get air cushions. We have tracks to find and some people to talk to about access.
Hopefully, another 2 day event, some time in '07. One day in Clare, Tipperary, Limerick area and another in one of the adjacent counties in some of the less frequented areas, where men are men and sheep are afraid.

Hey Marcus, I din't realise you'd taken so many photos, well done.
Thanks for posting my "Log Balancing Trick"
I'll never forget the look of delight on you face as you took that picture.
The self restraint of all who were there is commendable, I thought the slaging
match would have started by now. It was a brilliant weekend, I really
can't see how it could have been better, still can't believe some of the off
roading we did, looks great on the video, I didn't think I'd bump into you
again Joe, great meeting ye all. Thanks to all.

Hi lads, two of the videos are uploaded, the files are 42mb and 83mb
but they are two of the better ones. There are reduced resolution
pics as well.

Would anyone with video or photos taken on the day mind emailing them
to me? It would be great to have them all on the one site. I will have
them up-loaded in 10 minutes from when they are sent and put them in a
folder under your user-name.
