Hi there.
Am trying to get my head around the symptoms before diving in with both feet to try and find a solution.
Have had the Xchallenge for about three months. Now the weather is trying to perk up I am out on it more and more. Was out for a blat the other night and on fully opening the throttle in 4th I got what sounded like wheel spin (engine bogged slightly, then regained revs). Although, I didn't get any loss of traction. I can only assume therefore that this is a bit of clutch slip. Its not bad in all gears, but it is there when you want to nail it.
I've got some mineral oil on standby - as I assume most advice will start there. Its not long had the replacement clutch cover mod (before I bought it though so not sure what internals were replaced at the time or if the oil was replaced or it was a lay it on its side repair).
So, has anyone had similar experience witht the Xchallenge, Should I look at adjustment prior to doing a full oil change? Don't want to keep riding hard till fixed in case I'm cruising for a failure on the clutch. I'd be amazed as the bikes only done 2800 from new though...
Cheers.
