stayed there several times. Nice hotel. It’s even better if they put you in the annex as you can get the bikes behind the gates.

Fantastic ride down to Obernai
Pretty much D roads the whole way. Just love rural France. Small towns and villages always appear completely deserted. Fantastic smell of bread in the mornings as you pass through.
Miles and miles of sunflower fields.
Glorious weather nearly hitting 30 again.
Passed through Verdun - spectacular but for all the wrong reasons as it were.
The numbers are beyond comprehension.

Hotel La Dilgence
Very nice - parked in an underground garage for 20 euros for the two bikes.
Think the garage belongs to hotel Colombier.
Access to the hotel difficult and the view from my room window tells you why.
Think status quo are on at 7 !

Yes, Diligence & Colombier are owned by the same company. We were in Le Colombier in June. We split the garage fee 3 ways!
Restaurant-Winstub La Dime was good.
La Halle aux Blés was okay but a bit touristy.
there's always the kebab shop near Le Colombier!Thank you for the recommendations
