Anyone know of a short screen for GSA? Or anyone got a broke standard GSA one I xan cut down?

I got one from nippy normans, think it was a jet flow or something, love it and keep it on all year round,it'll give you a big neck though

is that the one that does away completely with the screen??
I am fed up with buffeting, standing on the pegs at 70mph suddenly all is peace and calm. Was gonna try and put a low screen on so that the screen bar with sat nav stays. Anyone done anything like this??

Its the wde-gs1200gs-bk-cock ,£49,quieter,front feels more planted at speed,no wobble head buffeting, best money i've spent and used all year round,if you need weather protection buy a bus pass

Do you think that the extra screen support on the GSA will fit with this?

no ,the hi support has to come off,i left it still attached to my GSA screen and removed the lot together

I had enough of the buffetting on the standard GSA screen, tried a vario that wasn't brilliant, tried the spoiler which did make a difference but was getting too much air on my shoulders after longer rides.

So bought a Vstream

From Here

Just used it at the weekend, left Dover on the 1025 on Friday arrived at Gibraltor at 1700 Saturday and was back in Calais for 1120 Monday.

No Buffetting, no wind noise, can lift the multitec up to eat and drink at 80 with no problems at all at total of 3000 miles covered.

before you go cutting down standard screens id highly recommend this screen totally brilliant.

Which model Vstream screen did you get, I am 5 10.
Cheers Baron

Z2417 im 5'11 and a bit seat is high front low back.

The plastic it true clear so seeing through it isnt a issue either.

See your mates got an FJR, I had a Vstream on one of them, Barn Door but great in winter. My problem is the noise is really bugging the tom tit out of me and I can't hear my music properly. Now due to change of circuimstances, on very limited budget hence the potentially cheaper option!!

Ive still got a Vstream in my garage for my old FJR,the screen is in a different league to the FJR model swapped from the FJR to the GSA. The GSA suits me better, as i couldnt stand polishing all that plastic:D

Did the same!! (Via a GIVI screen) mind I am pissed of cleaning spoked wheels so will pop alloys on ehen I can afford em!

I noitced the Vstream lists differnet numbers for the 2008 on adventure, I thought screen mounts were the same?

Hi Ian

Lets say £50 in p+p in UK. I have visitors next week who can return it to Blighty for posting while head off for the Picos (in July...phew). If thats ok pm mw your address and I will make the necessary. Or ring 0844 2322782 after 7 pm. Its a cheaper rate line so no worries.

so you can buy a second hand standard screen and cut it down and hope it doesn't go tits up or buy a lower one for same price!!

Why not get a standard GS screen:confused:

This gives the same, if not worse, buffeting and wind noise. As I said earlier in the thread standing up rigt there is no noise but you get blown about. I am trying to have my cake and eat it!!!

I've just cut down my GS screen (4 inches at the centre and 6inches at the sides) easy job with a jig saw and files, used masking tape to avoid scratching, 20 mins done and fitted. Absolutely love it, no wind pressure on my chest, clean air over my helmet, even at speed, feels like a different bike.
The only fly in the ointment is, wind noise with both my system 5 and multitech helmets, they just don't like wind. I like the cut down screen so much that I'm looking to buy another helmet that is not so noisy in the wind, any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
