purchased new in Sept 12 and working well until yesterday. A red light when charging but when disconnected from power will not now start up????
Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Have you tried a reset?
The reset is the pin hole on the back of the unit.

Are you using the same USB port to charge it as you always have. My wife's PC won't charge her SMH-10 properly if she also has her phone plugged in for charging.

Have you tried the Sena support site. May have an answer.

Had something very similar where charged all night and remained red. Removed charging cable left for half an hour, recharged and 15 mins blue light just as stated on support forum.

I read somewhere about some differance charging from mains charger and using a usb port on comp.

My mates did the same, he then done an update on his computer then it worked fine.

Just a quick update.
Problem all sorted now with excellent and speedy service from Sportsrider.co.uk.
An immediate response to the problem with a no quibble replacement of the main module.
Could not have been more helpful - I could not be more pleased.
