Started the bike this morning and walked away to get my helmet when turned round there was smoke coming off the top of the exhaust near the clamp.
OH what’s that, must have an oil leak….No….dripping coming from below the tank.
Sh1t that can’t be oil….PETROL….. turned the bike off…. No flames.
Checked and followed the trail of fuel to the lower of the two fat pipes coming from the tank.
Have lifted the tank up a bit to have a look and can’t see much.
Started the bike again no leaks.
On closer inspection having lifted the tank further up, the pipes look odd, was thinking since they are 26 years old I should change them, don’t want a petrol leg warmer any time soon.
Any tips or hints to changing them before I start please…?
