Some on here will know that I smoked a pipe and the occasional cigar - well I packed it in at New Years (first time in my life that a resolution has actually worked
) because I was inhaling it and all the wheezing and rattling at night began to seriously worry me. I chomped on the gum in times of crisis (frequent at first, got better after 2 months) and everything was going OK until Saturday night.
Working at an angling show and staying over with the group, got rat-arsed and bought a packet of Hamlet. On Sunday morning I felt like shit (and it wasn't just the surfeit of Jameson's), found one Hamlet left in the 5-pack and immediately chucked it. I have to say that I thought I would be hooked again but find that I am OK about it and even more resolved not to go back down that road again.
Not sure if I should re-set my Quit Keeper which says I've saved £146.16 on baccy since I Jan. Maybe if I just deduct the £4.50 for the Hamlet.......
