.Is it likely to be covered under warranty or is brute force excluded.
Think I may purchase the Cymark supports as a short term fix for now.
The screen hadn't adjust to the fully up position so I applied a bit more torque. I was surprised that the mechanism is all plastic, would have expected the knob to be fitted to a metal rod.
There was a guy on one of the facebook GS groups selling an electric conversion... But that wouldn't work with any of the after-market "steadying brackets".
Well this is the broken part, made of plastic. I might see if I can file some if the meat off the collar which may give me a bit of extra shaft to play with although it would restrict some of the movement. Anyone know how easy it would be to knock something like this up on a lathe or would 3D printing be an option?.
