Snoopy can I ask a practical question here.

You had 2 5 litre petrol containers on you bike as extra fuel capacity did you on your trip ever use them to fill your main tank up because you where going to run out of fuel before you got to the next fuel stop?

They were only for the crossing from the Merzouga region. I used one for sure but the other I ended up not needing.

Haven't yet worked my around the video links and whatever etc but enjoyed the photos and write up.

Glad you are back safe (and well????????)

See you around.

The rest will be coming tomorrow. :thumb2

Tried to open the vids but they all said this:

Error: 404

Well I have now downloaded Windows media player version 11 up to the minute technology and still can't see any of these video clips. Did I read somewhere that they are getting put on again so we can view them without repartitioning the hard disk or installing a Synchronised Hollistic Interfacing Transmission Encryptor which has the perfect acronym.......

I'm desperate to see these vids.....:(

Come on Snoops.... I need it simple, like me:rolleyes:
(I'm not very bright but I can lift things:eek)

Download the codecs pack as said on one of these posts. It was easy with Quicktime that I used originally but people bitched about the file size (3 times the XVID codec)

Apologies for not getting the rest of the report done hoping to plough through it tonight.

I've had news the bike will be ready Friday. BMW charging 195E to fix the broken water pump.

I've bit the bullet and gone for more downloads......... the last line in the car park scene in Spain was a classic..."Oh F*ck here we go" as the rozzers pulled in:D:D

Keep em coming

Anyone who then still can't see the videos most probably has 'old' codecs left on their pc which would need to be removed. I don't know how to do this or where to find them as I don't run Window$ on my pc.

Now, where were we... :popcorn:beer: :thumb2

Good news then. And one of the problems we spoke of on Saturday. you going to fly over at the weekend or are you still interested in me picking it up!!

Disappointed you didn't get the rest of the trip downloaded after the stories you told me Saturday.

I have no feckin idea what that means:nenau

I obviously get out too much, have a life and am too stoopid to work a computer (and cannae be arsed trying to learn)

'Codec' ? Sounds like a Morningside camera...

Warning: the above joke is for Scottish peeps only- if you are English don't bother to read it-OK?

Youtube I can manage- whats wrong with that?

Morningside Codec :D

You Tube. Good idea :thumb2

I'm not going to upload files up to 80Mb in size onto YouTube. I'm lucky if I get 5Mb uploaded before a timeout on my broadband via wireless connection. By using my own server I can just continue where it has failed.

In case you've missed it I've created a new thread with all the instructions you need and just the report so you don't have to go through all the pages on this thread. If you a) can't be arsed to download the codec or b) can't be arsed to download the movies, then move on because I wont be catering for your can't be arsed attitude.

Enjoy the rest of the report here ...

If you've struggled to watch Snoopy's videos, they are now all on YouTube on the other thread here.
