...to buy some spark plugs and the sales manager, who knows I like BMW's, said "we're picking up a BMW on trade this afternoon it's an Adventure, would you be interested?" I said no but what year? Turned out to be a 2012 with 120 miles on it. They were going to wholesale it to a BMW dealer but said I could have it at that price if I wanted it. (About 2/3 the cost of a new one.) I wasn't looking for a new motorcycle but simply couldn't pass that up.
I only rode it maybe 10 miles to get it home. Compared to my 09 GS, which I need to sell now, the GSA felt just a bit heavier in the front. I like the thicker seat and lower first gear. Not sure about the larger windshield and deflectors yet. The larger top load bags are nice but pretty wide. I like the throatier muffler. Other than an extended front fender and rear inner mud fender I don't see buying any other farkles for it. Anyway I just thought I'd share my new purchase.
