To the moon?Is being launched this Friday (24th)
No, you’re about right. I did a version of that but on a 2001 (I think) bike. Are bobbers still a thing? I presumed they were a flash in the pan (where loads of 70s and 80s classic bikes had been butchered to create a 200 miles a year 'fad' bike). I'm probably incorrect, usually am.
I've only seen the blacked out silhouettesaw one at Brighton BMW dealers parked outside

I understood it originally to be a Harley thing. Are bobbers still a thing? I presumed they were a flash in the pan (where loads of 70s and 80s classic bikes had been butchered to create a 200 miles a year 'fad' bike). I'm probably incorrect, usually am.
I think it originated in the Dark Ages when bobbing for apples was a minority sport - miss the apple and its "off with his head"!!I understood it originally to be a Harley thing.
Loads of ex army bikes flooded the marketplace after the war. They were all stripped down matt green etc. Similar to the modern ex army Hummer market in the States now. I'm probably wrong too, but never let the truth get in the way of a good story - huh?!

To be fair to BMW, the R18 prototype started off much the same until the fuds fucked it up.Closer to what I hoped the R18 would and should have been.
Definitely the R12. Saw that on the side of the engine. This colour. So it would appear that the R12 Bobber thingy didn't rear its head yesterday after all
Which makes me wonder. What was it that Traffic893 & Robbo spotted?![]()
Ah right I see.Definitely the R12. Saw that on the side of the engine. This colour.
