I did see some blacked out photos the other day, looks kinda triumph bobber ish.

Are bobbers still a thing? I presumed they were a flash in the pan (where loads of 70s and 80s classic bikes had been butchered to create a 200 miles a year 'fad' bike). I'm probably incorrect, usually am.
No, you’re about right. I did a version of that but on a 2001 (I think) bike.

I understood it originally to be a Harley thing.
Loads of ex army bikes flooded the marketplace after the war. They were all stripped down matt green etc. Similar to the modern ex army Hummer market in the States now. I'm probably wrong too, but never let the truth get in the way of a good story - huh?!
I think it originated in the Dark Ages when bobbing for apples was a minority sport - miss the apple and its "off with his head"!!

Love the minimal design of this - very “Pier City”. Sure will look a lot more tart’s handbag after homologation bods get their paws on though. Probably £25k too.

To be fair to BMW, the R18 prototype started off much the same until the fuds fucked it up.

That's the R12 not the R12 Bobber they were talking about down at Bahnstormers last Monday.
It's clear to me now, that the silhouette photo I was shown when I was there, was the R20 with the full floating seat just like the Triumph Bobber 1200
