Hi All,
As (yet another) newbie, I'm intrigued by all the argument about which GS is better than the other. Such vehement debate suggests just maybe they all good, otherwise why would they have become a cult over the last 25years (not just since LWR)?
I've hankered after each of the GS models ever since a mate got a GS80 when they first came out, but there was always some other bike I wanted more at the time. Who cares what reasons a person has for choosing a particular bike, it all depends what they want from it, and the only issue is which one suits the individual the best.
Personally, I prefer low down grunt to a more urgent top-end. Therefore it's one of the last new 1150Adv SE's for me - I pick it up tomorrow and all your arguments will be lost on the breeze (that is if I don't drop it 'cos I haven't any platform-soled bike boots yet........).
KTM are bringing out a 950 with 120bhp? Having had a full power V-Max for 3 years/30,000 miles, and lost count of the no. of times I scared the merde out of myself, the thought of a traillie with a similar power to weight gives me a nervous tic - you're welcome to it!
