I think putting petrol in a diesel is a much smaller issue than the other way round. No need to clean injectors etc. just drain/pump out the petrol and fill up with diesel.

Pretty sure putting diesel in a petrol vehicle is potentially less of an issue than the other way around. In particular the very high pressure diesel pumps and injection systems really don't like running on any thing other than self-lubricating diesel and can be destroyed pretty quickly depending on how much diesel was in the tank before adding petrol.
