Must say halfords pro gear (lifetime warranty) is not bad & good value if on offer.:D

This is what I use and they are very good quality. I did manage to pick the case up yesterday without locking it first and dropped the contents on the garage floor. :spitfire

This is what happened to my Halfords Professional Torx bit while removing car head bolts.

I wonder if Snap On break like this?
:D

Oh yes, even a beautifully made little 5mm hex-head socket. They did replace it without a quibble but that was in 1985.

I still use a snap-on 10mm ring and open end spanner for every adjustment of the valves as I have done since it was the only spanner that had the right offset to be used on my old original Honda 250T.

I bought a new Halfords Professional 150 piece last year to replace a twenty year old 125 piece Kamasa set that had been perfectly okay. The Halfords set is better, nicer in the hands and very shiny... :D

Hi Yes the impact sockets are designed for use with air guns which have impact or hammer facility. Can be used for normal duties, but as the other guys say, the socket walls are thicker. Normaly the sockets have flats for full location on the flats of the bolts of nut flats. Standard sockets have finer location points that locate on the corners of flats. Obvioulsy the Imact sockets are much stronger and are less prone to rounding off the nut or bolt.
