Been reading the pro's & con's of hard V soft luggage options and having had bulky hard luggage for the last few years I can see the advantages of lighter, slimmer soft options?

Don't like tank bags, but the rear packs look like they could do the job. Anyone used these http://www.motohaus.com/acatalog/SW_Motech_Bags_Connection.html
or something similar? Appreciate the benefit of Tossers experiences - both good & bad?

I've not used those but have used Ventura's bike packs. The pack I owned was an older model than the present ones. The pack fitted really easily, was waterproof and carried a substantial amount of gear. If your on your own the pack sits on the passenger seat, if two up it sits on it's own rack at the rear. The newer bags can be fitted together to vary the load capacity aswell. The only downside i can think of is that the weight is carried up high which takes a bit of getting used to. Ventura were excellent to deal with aswell.

I have a oxford tail pack on my GS instead of the rear seat-works a treat, there is a picture of it on the show us your gs pages

...the ventura rack is also VERY easy / quick to fit and stable at high speeds.

Kaoko !

I've just collected this Kaoko 30litre Day Bag :

The quality looks very good.

Got it from these guys.

There are larger options but I'm planning to use this one on my 950 SE together with the KTM soft panniers/racks.

Thanks all:thumb2

Appreciate the photies, not sure about the ventura packs though. Stable, sturdy & waterproof is good, but if I'm going for soft luggage I'd prefer not to have to fit a rack.

Thanks Arsey :thumb

I was just about to order a Wolfman tail pack over a cargo tail pack - but now you've given me an even better option .

It looks slightly bigger and just what i'm after

order going in today :thumb

For the past couple of years I've been using BMW's own roll bag. Can't fault it, waterproof, fastens on easy, shoulder strap just clips on bla bla... Great piece o' kit :thumb

Can easily have a two week holiday out of this.

For weekends I use their smaller bag that again just clips on to the rear rack or seat... handy for weekends or a week's holiday :thumb
