That's something I thought I'd never read on UKGSer

Check out Ventura packs. Not panniers but extremely good soft luggage

Depending on how much space you need and where you ride, highly recommend getting one of the BMW pannier liners--rather than putting it inside a pannier, it straps onto the pillion seat really easily and then I don't need any stinking side panniers. So far totally waterproof...

They best be extremely waterproof - the amount of water that gets hoovered up by a GS............

Al :)

Have a look at the BMW 51 litre softbag. It is designed to sit on the pillion seat so it may not suit your purpose.
It has a hard base so will not sag and is waterproof. Look a good bag

Ortlieb also have a good set:thumb2

Contact Rocks off the the UKGSer site, he sells the Ortlieb bags and knows what he is talking about (not that Toad doesn't, of course, just in case anyone found this in anyway insulting).

Had Ortileb on my Vstrom I had to fit pannier rails by Givi as the exhaust was to high to fit throw overs.

It did work very well touring France. Easy clip on clip off water proof and half th weight of a givi box.

My touring companion purchased the legedary Oxford and got wet clothes and a snaped strap.
