Soft southern shandy drinkers, do it again….. 4/5/6 July 2025 - DATE CONFIRMED

Indeed, Mrs Santa was asking about BBQ bits

I can do rolls and some salad stuff , are we just covering the braai people or everyone?
I'd just do the braai people. We can then square all meat and salad and wood etc easier. Also less likely to over cater too much then.

I'll have a look what i have in my MRA library. Done a bit of riding around that area, and there are some good roads.

Same for a route to/from London as i'll be coming from a similar direction too.

Can someone click this link and tell me if they see a route created in MRA? Any pointers if you do see glaring missed opportunities for a tosser to enjoy?
This is my back yard... a couple of pointers, at via 10 move it south and go through Broadwindsor, nicer road and lovely village, stop for cake/coffee at the at the Stableyard Cafe, very nice. North of route is a bit dull, but worthy, and I'd come back from Sherborne on the Cerne Abbas road (A352), a fun road otherwise through Kings Stag and Hazelbury Bryan if you want to go further east (Pub/Cafe at Kings Stag also very nice for cake/coffee). Clouds Hill and Moreton, both walled garden, TE Lawrences grave (next to garden) and the church all worth a visit... don't attempt the ford at Moreton unless on an enduro bike :ROFLMAO: . Have fun... unfortunately I'm away camping with Royal Enfield bods this weekend

Good news and bad news
Good. The bike starter problems have now been sorted.
Bad. Family issues have turned up, so I won't be in attendance sadly.
Gave my tenting stuff a shake down this weekend as well 😢

We’ve done a few GSER days rides in that area in the past .. is the old school house tea rooms/restaurant in Moreton still open ? Or as @LOLGEOFF renamed it, “The Wasp Cafe” :D
And we always did the Ford crossing at Moreton at the end of the ride along the legal road through Moreton Forest :D
The Church is the only one in the UK with etched windows, not the common garden stained glass ..
and the chain ferry from Sandbanks to Studland allows you to say you’ve taken your awesome beast across the Sea during the ride :D

I'm leaving work at midday, so will either on the way by midday, or 1ish if going home first

maps says 2 hrs, but wimborne will say no way, so id say 3-4pm

Thank fcuk it's cooling down a bit, been out in it all day the last four days doing training and I'm wiped out.
I am all up for cooling off a bit, just why does it have to threaten me with the wet stuff…

I`ll be there at about 18 minutes past six on the Sat.

I`ll be feeding myself with the usual improvised camping fayre of a tin of Stagg chilli and tea`n`toast in the morning.

Tarp.

That is all.
