Soft southern shandy drinkers, do it again….. 4/5/6 July 2025 - DATE CONFIRMED

You could always do a loop via Cann Common to Zig Zag hill and over the downs to Compton Abbas Airfield, it has a decent Cafe owned by Guy Richie and the views are good, especially if it’s a day for flying.

Ambitious! Trying to get a bunch of geriatric GSers ready for that time will be like herding cats!
It’ll give me plenty of time to put my ear plugs in and put my gloves on. What not to like 🤣

Good call. I find the cafe slightly upmarket for grubby bikers, but they do have decent outdoor catering at the weekends, I think. Certainly hit and miss finding the outdoor stuff open in the week.
Another option might be to get a bit further north to Gillingham and go here.
Not been for a while, but used to be really nice, especially for eating outdoors. Interesting display of motorcycles too. Used to be the area's KTM dealer until they went tits up.

A wee bit of a hike from the campsite in Dorset, but Sammy Millers museum in the New Forest has just opened a new dedicated section purely for Italian racing machines on 21st June.

Might have discovered a slight flaw in the plan.....

How are we going to BBQ the food with no BBQ's

Wapping &, Cookie supplied the BBQ equipment last time

??????

Edit: I should have looked further back in the posts, you have a nice route going that way! Ijust leave the Rubicon Kitchen as a recommendation, and 2nd the Stable Yard👍

If people are still pondering where to drive/ride, West Bay via the coast road is very pleasant - This route nips the corner of Weymouth

Theres a good food Hut on the harbour 'Rubicon Kitchen' that does fantastic seafood - The hand dived scallops are some of the best you’ll ever have

Right ive picked up 20 large baps ;) (Braai order)

2 tubs of potato salad
1 tub of coleslaw
1 bottle of tomato ketchup
1 bottle of Smokey BBQ sauce
1 Bottle of Tomato & pickle ketchup
4kg of charcoal

Shit, you are really over catering!! The meat did not get delivered! The wood did....CNTS Parcelforce...So I think we'll be rejecting the meat @Ianak because in this heat unless its been really well insulated it'll probably be baked! But luck has it that my route on Saturday passes through Abbotsbury and a Saffa butchery shop there called Robins Farm Shop, so we can pop in and stock up there and then

Well if all else fails the ducks will be well fed, and were eating in the pub again ;)
Feed it to the Vegans...lol. I have snet a request to robins farm shop-pre ordering etc..we'll stop there on Sat on the ride..otherwise its Sainsburys finest Porkies...LOLOLOLOLO

Right just loading the car,

If I've forgotten anything, tough shit as they say.

See you all later people 😎

We’ll have Sausages.
Hi Donovan

Not a problem at all, we have boerewors in stock and will put aside for you. I am also making some skinny wors today for orders so will have that as well. We also have biltong and dry wors in stock if you need.
Have a great and safe weekend.

Kind regards,

Mike Robins

Hi Don. As the food order is being re-set, if it is possible to include Sean and myself, please do so and let me know what we need to chip in. Same goes for the rolls etc.

Cheers!
