You could always do a loop via Cann Common to Zig Zag hill and over the downs to Compton Abbas Airfield, it has a decent Cafe owned by Guy Richie and the views are good, especially if it’s a day for flying.

Good call. I find the cafe slightly upmarket for grubby bikers, but they do have decent outdoor catering at the weekends, I think. ill get 18 rolls, some bacon , some coleslaw , potatoe salad , and a bottle of brown & red sauce
