Soft southern shandy drinkers, do it again….. 4/5/6 July 2025 - DATE CONFIRMED

Then a long windy and entertaining route homewards with @EVskiy Thanks for the fun route. Wine farm included and river Test
You are welcome Don! Was great to have you along for the ride.

The river test mentioned, is “Test” in the name not test as in us dipping our toes in. A beautiful and crystal clear river.

That was a winding route, i went through Nomansland (pony pics) on my way there!

And was that bridge pic taken at Houghton/Horsebridge....?
That`s my neck of the woods....
Yes it was. Lovely part of the world. Simply stunning around there. You are very lucky.

My jaunt back home after waving good bye to Don at the Black Chalk vineyard did not go without the interruption though.
Having come across another beautiful chalk Bourne Rivulet river, I had pulled over to have a look and a listen as well as to answer natures call.

Then dashboard told me something was a miss, quick investigation was needed as I was still some 80 miles away from home. Yep you guessed it!

Toolkit out…

Leatherman to the rescue…

IMG_7059.jpeg

followed by a cheap Chinky plugging kit I’ve purchased for a fraction of the branded items cost …

IMG_7063.jpeg

Airman pump was used to pump it back up to 44ps (pump generated air is hot) hence the higher pressure, compared to required 42ps) and I’ve let the tail be sticking out there whilst I’ve picked away most of the toolkit away. Pressure was being held ok, but it has dropped on my dashboard as the air inside the tyre cooled down.

IMG_7064.jpeg

A steady 42.32ps was held there after, a saliva test to make sure the seal is good, then a leatherman was being used to trim the plug stem back.

IMG_7065.jpeg

All in all it took me 29 minutes to take my kit off (as in take my jacket, gloves and helmet off, dig my tool kit out, plug the tyre and to put alm back away, then get dressed again

Git back home at 18:05

A great day and utterly scenic it was too, with a few showers along the way.

Thank you to each and everyone of you who came along, it was really nice to meet new faces and those whom I have met before. The laughs and the conversations had, were very pleasant.

Here is to the next one. 👍🏻
