Yep, sold it last week. Still have a T Max 530 and an R9T scrambler
Just back from a great trip to the NC500 on the GSA and loved it.
However got fed up of having 3 bikes ( I know poor me:D) so decided to see how it goes with just the two.I use the T Max every day, the GSA I didn't . The R9T had been stuck in my front room while the builders demolished/rebuilt my house and latterly garage. It has been quite liberating and the cash from the sale was nice (hidden now in case it gets wasted on the building work)Enjoying using the scrambler a great little bike and looks like a real bike . Will I miss the all conquering GSA ?
Possibly, but the PX I was offered on a new one was dreadful. Got £2000 more than I was offered PX .It seems PCP is the way to keep up to date . And breathe . Will probably get another when the new one comes out:green gri:D

I have three bikes, but I'm keeping the GSA, one or both of the others need to go as I just don't use them.
 
Just sold my 14my GSA and replaced it with a GS

The only things I miss are the seat and the screen, both of which can be easily changed :thumb
 
Yes, you'll miss it. Maybe not for a while, but when you do, just buy another.:thumb

Like a few, I've also gone from a GSA to a Rallye. I mainly use it with the Rallye seat/ short screen, but have the gsa seat/ screen for trips away. Coupled with the sport suspension, I've now got the GSA ergos, in a more lightweight bike. Best of both worlds.:beerjug:

I bet that you also miss that heavy tank when it was full of fuel...8 gallons! I have also gone back from the GSA to the GS...ENJOY!
 
I sold my 16 GSA to a buddy and took my old 05 GS in trade.
I was only doing weekend spins and no long Euro blasts so for domestic use something more basic will do the job.
I need to slim my fleet.
11 motorcycles - 2 cars - 2 campers - 1 Cadillac.
I will probably get another flash bike end of year if I decide to winter in Spain.
Like you I am doing a bit of building. I stashed the bike money in a separate account ready to be called up whenever I get the new bike itch.
If I sold a couple of my CBX1000's and the Cadillac it would easily cover the cost of a new KTM.
I hate the hassle of selling but I will have to bite the bullet and start shifting.

I have a 14 GSA which I really like because it just works so well. The riding position is all day comfortable, there's plenty wind/weather protection in cold or rain with the shield up yet plenty of air when down. I like how the controls feel and GPS display integrates.
Out on the open highway with its large tank, good mpg, and cruise set, the bike just motors on mile after mile yet it's also in its element blasting up a curvy mountain pass or on that interesting dirt road.

The bike is also easy to live with and service. Mine's now at 30k and the valves were still in spec when last checked at 24k. Wheels are a snap to remove and it's nice not having to maintain a chain.

I like how it can carry everything I need and more when necessary but stripped of luggage feel and ride like a sport bike.

Yes I'd miss mine.
 
Just sold my 2015 GSA I had a 2013 then a 14 then an XR loved the engine but hated the vibes so sold it after 6 months and 7,000 miles. I then got my last GSA which did 25,000 miles, what a great bike the GS is but that XR got me hooked on the engine so now they have updated the S1000 R I've ordered a Sport in Black and red, it's due in early July so will I keep it long term or will I end up back on a GS ?

We will see but will I miss the GS I don't think I will this time, but I sure do miss a bike now I'm waiting for the new one
