Sidestand

Hi Annette , Received a parcel from your good selves this AM ! Unfortunately it was'nt my parcel ! Could you check your e-mails and let me know your address so that I can return it and you can send me the "bits" I ordered , Regards panterg

Just an Idea.

The one part that soon looks nasty on these bikes (1100 and 1150) is the front engine cover. The problem being how the paint bubbles and generally looks naff very quickly unless you're very careful with cleaning.

I would think a lot of second hand bikes are bought with the damage already done. (like mine)

getting this part smartened up has to be one of the most common questions asked... unfortunately its not an easy part to simply replace - nor is it very easy to repair in situ.

My Idea is an alu cover that either replaces or goes over the black plastic piece in the front and extends all the way to the base of the metal cover. thus hiding the damaged paintwork.

produce that with a corrosion proof finish and you'll be bombarded by requests (I bet)

this is what I mean:

all the best.

I must apologise for my stupidity but I'm buggered if I can work out how to PM you. I'd like to order an oil cooler guard, throttle pot guard and a sidestand extender from you. Any tips for how I can PM you for details of payment etc would be welcomed.

Click on this link: http://www.ukgser.com/subscriptions.htm and pay £12, then you'll be able to PM them :)

Everything that Chunk makes is available here :thumb2

Thanks for that. It's all a bit more expensive on that site than it is on Chunk's post.

Wished appy N Yr

Hi Annette, wished Chunk a happy new year (know he's had a bit of a time of it last year) but no reply, is he well? are you all well? will there be a tool box cover soon, if not could you ask him to return the spare one I've supplied to him (if its not been destroyed in manufacturing process) so I can get one made locally, be nice to hear from Jon aka Chunk, take care all, regards Dusan :thumb2

Dusan

Sorry it's been a while. You've got a PM. We have had an unbelievable problem sourcing the locks for the toolbox cover and then the only supplier we could find who makes locks that actually fit was out of stock. They are now back in stock and we are expecting delivery of them in the next couple of weeks. Then a final test fit, get them made up and anodised and we should be ready to go on them.

Toolbox covers

Annette

Please let us know when they are ready to ship. I am sure there is a queue of people waiting to buuy them!
