There are not enough curse words to satisfy me.... Woke up at 6 to gather my gear, checked the bike had oil, water and air. Put on armour, kneepads, mx-boots. Kissed missus goodbye. Away I went. As soon as I hit the M4 the oil light goes on...stopped to see black smoke coming from the bike....large puddle of oil forming underneath......... I brave the return journey back to Bristol


the effing bloody pressusre sensor just had to effing fail on the effing way to ludgershall hadnt it ffs!!! The ironic thing is that I was working on the bike from Wednesday just so that it'd be ready for today (changing tyres, greasing bearings, changing SHB's etc). I have a nice puddle of oil in my bash plate and the missus aint happy about the flagstones...

Why couldnt this effing thing have failed a week ago is what I want to know... at least it cost less than a tenner so will be buying one after the Holidays

A big thank you to those that managed to make it on Friday and/or Sunday. In particular to Clive for the hospitality and preparation. I had a great time and did about 350 mile over the weekend (that = 15 fuel stops!! )

It's a shame some of you were unable to make it, let's hope we can hook up next time.

Simon, where's your picture link? Who else has some shots of the Friday? I've yet to download mine.

Thanks to Clive for his hopsitality and preparation for our ride on Friday and to those who came along and helped make it a great day.

Believe it or not I thoroughly enjoyed a day to myself, exploring the BOATS around Salisbury on saturday.

The time on the Plain was cool too. I intend to do something similar later in the year and hopefully get those who couldn't make along.
